Our unique venue offers a large exhibition space, ideal for intimate performances. The main hall features fully adjustable, state of the art, sound and lighting equipment suitable for many performance types.
Boasting a truly clear acoustic, Dundalk Gaol offers an alternative recording venue for live performances.
We also provide an opportunity to explore the history of the Gaol and /or the region’s cultural legacy with interactive audio - visual displays.

The Oriel Bar is fully operable under a Theatre Licence and is a popular destination for a pre-concert or interval drink.

Archive & Library Resource
As a Comhaltas Regional Centre the Oriel Centre links directly to the National Comhaltas Archive with complete access available to all the our centre’s users. Please visit the National Comhaltas Archive for additional information. A valuable resource to students / teachers and researchers of traditional music and culture, our Archivist is on hand to guide you in your research.
We are currently building our collection of library & teaching resource materials which will be available for reference only.
Five fully equipped classrooms are available for tuition. Suitable for small groups.
Each classroom contains a large wall-mounted whiteboard, music stands and storage units for teachers.
Conference / Meeting Rooms
Available for hire. Conference facilities include access to overhead projector and screen, photocopying facilities and tea or coffee for your guests.
